EVENTS DURING 2011
Once again we have had a really busy year with several large jobs to undertake and a whole series of events. As always the workshop remains open for anyone to come and take a look at what we do – just give us a call to ensure that we are in when you want to come.
Here are just some of the special things that have taken place this year:
Somerset Guild of Craftsmen
I am delighted to have been accepted as a member of this prestigious guild and you will find examples of my work now on display and for sale at the guild’s gallery at The Old Courthouse in Somerton. See the guild website www.somersetguild.co.uk
SomersetArt Weeks, Saturday 17 September-Sunday 2 October “The Link at Kilver Court”
This year Art Weeks took the form of group exhibitions. I joined nine other artists and crafts people at Kilver Court in Shepton Mallet. Over the two weeks well over one thousand people visited the event and were able to see a wide range of the work of the many talented artists who lilve in Somerset.
UK Fine Press Book Fair 2011, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 November
Back for the eleventh time this unique biannual book fair showcased the best of private press books from all over the world plus bookdealers, trade suppliers (including myself) and a programme of fascinating talks. A great weekend and the chance to meet old friends and talk to new contacts.
and finally this year, back closer to home;
Craft Fair in support of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Caryford Hall, Castle Cary Saturday 12 November
In the light and spacious Caryford Hall in Castle Cary we joined with other local craftspeople to offer a range of goodies.
